Budget Analyst

Summary

As a Budget Analyst, you will assist the Financial Management Team with financial planning, budget execution, and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice, assistance, and guidance to managers on all aspects of the allocation, use, and control of appropriated funds.

  • Prepare budget justifications and funding reports.

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and presentation of budget estimates.

  • Conduct thorough analysis and forecasting of requirements.

  • Track commitments, obligations, and expenditures.

  • Compare financial data to financial spending plans and reconcile discrepancies.

  • Analyze data and make recommendations to utilize funds more efficiently.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial status reports.

Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Strong organization and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.

  • Experience in cost analysis and general accounting reconciliation

  • Ability to communicate financial information efficiently and effectively.

  • Successfully complete a government issues background investigation.
